Have you ever wanted to live on an island? I did so I made a permanent move in 2001 and chose a unique livestyle on a non-ferry served island in the San Juan Islands of Washington. My “day job” has been as a real estate agent for the past 24 years, specializing in beautiful waterfront homes and view parcels that are purchased primarily as 2nd homes by Seattle-area professionals. Those of us who’ve chosen this way of life, love it, but many people ask us, “what do you do” on an island without any commercial development or ferry service?
